SHIPPING & RETURN POLICY



SHIPPING POLICY

In-stock merchandise will generally ship within 72 hours of order placement. We will send an e-mail confirmation to you when your merchandise is shipped.

We ship exclusively to the 48 contiguous United States. We do not ship to P.O. Box addresses.



RETURN POLICY

  1. Returns will not be accepted beyond 30 days from the original shipping date.
  2. We do not accept returns on volume, special, custom, quoted orders.
  3. Closeout, final sale, and clearance items are sold "as is" and cannot be returned.
  4. Items purchased from the Website may not be returned directly to Valley Lighting & Home Décor retail outlets.
  5. All returned merchandise must be in resalable condition. Products must be new, unused, unaltered and uninstalled. Merchandise must arrive with the original packing and accessories. Products not in original condition will not be accepted for return.
  6. All returned items must have a Return Merchandise Authorization (“RMA”). Please call us at 1-877-405-LIGHT (5444) 9am to 5pm Monday-Saturday or e-mail our customer service department at service@valleylighting-ct.com

    to receive an RMA. Once you receive your RMA:
    1. Write your RMA on the packing slip and include the packing slip with your return.
    2. Write your RMA on a blank piece of paper and securely tape it to the outside of the package to be returned.
    3. Do not write on the original packing or use excessive tape/staples when returning items. Please note - Resalable items returned without a RMA, an incorrect RMA or an improper RMA label may be subject to a $25.00 restocking fee.
  7. Returns must be shipped prepaid and insured. Ship returns to: Valley Lighting, Attn: Return Dept, 3 Chestnut Street, Ansonia, CT 06401
  8. Shipping charges are not refundable.
  9. Allow 30 days from the time we receive your returned merchandise for processing. Refunds will only be credited to the original credit card account number charged.


DAMAGED & DEFECTIVE GOODS POLICY

It is important when signing for delivery that if the shipment appears to have visible damage (crushed carton, holes in carton, etc.) you note "damaged" when signing for the item.

If you receive damaged or defective goods, please contact customer service at service@valleylighting-ct.com or 877-405-5444 9am to 5pm Monday-Saturday and the carrier within 24 hour of receiving the merchandise. Customer service will provide you with a Return Merchandise Authorization ("RMA").

Valley Lighting will pay shipping costs for products received that are damaged or defective.

In the case of damaged merchandise sent back for exchange, Valley Lighting reserves the right to repair or replace the merchandise at its own discretion.

If an item is returned as damaged but found to be in good working condition, the item will be subject to our standard return policy and you will be charged for the return shipping costs.



BACK ORDERED ITEMS

Items may become backordered after the order has been placed. We will send e-mail updates if a product you ordered is on back order. You may cancel your order if you do not wish to wait for the item. If the item becomes sold out, we will provide you with an e-mail notification.



ORDER CANCELLATION

Cancellation is NOT available on custom orders that have already begun production. Standard item orders may be cancelled, without penalty, provided that the item has not been shipped from Valley Lighting or the manufacturer. To submit a cancellation request, please call us at 877-405-5444 during business hours [provide hours] or e-mail us at service@valleylighting-ct.com. Once we receive your request, we will attempt to cancel the order. If the order has already shipped, you should accept the order and follow our standard return policy.

If delivery of the product is refused, the standard return policy is void. You will be responsible for all shipping costs, refusal charges and any restocking fees.



SALES TAX

We charge sales tax on all orders shipped to Connecticut. Customers receiving items outside of Connecticut accept responsibility to pay any required taxes within their own jurisdiction.



PRICES, MERCHANDISE DESCRIPTIONS, PICTURES

Valley Lighting strives for accuracy in regards to product descriptions and pictures, and product pricing. If there is information on our Website that contains typographical errors or other inaccuracies, Valley Lighting reserves the right to correct any such errors or other inaccuracies and to otherwise change or update information at any time and from time to time without prior notice. Additionally, Valley Lighting reserves the right to refuse or cancel orders containing any error in accuracy or omission, whether or not the order has been submitted, confirmed and/or your credit card has been charged. You can cancel, without penalty, any item that was incorrectly priced. If your credit card had been charged for the purchase and your order is canceled, Valley Lighting will promptly issue a credit to your credit card.

WARRANTIES

All merchandise sold at Valley Lighting is subject solely and exclusively to the warranty offered by the manufacturer of the product.
VALLEY LIGHTING MAKES NO WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND REGARDING THE MERCHANDISE SOLD BY THE WEBSITE, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON INFRINGEMENT, ALL OF WHICH ARE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMED.

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL VALLEY LIGHTING OR ANY OF ITS OFFICERS, MEMBERS, AGENTS OR EMPLOYEES BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, PUNITIVE, SPECIAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES (INCLUDING ATTORNEYS’ FEES AND LOST PROFITS OR SAVINGS) INCURRED BY YOU, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE MERCHANDISE. WITHOUT LIMITING THE GENERALITY OF THE FOREGOING, VALLEY LIGHTING IS NOT RESPONSIBLE AND SHALL HAVE NO LIABILITY FOR THE SET-UP, INSTALLATION OR MODIFICATION OF ANY MERCHANDISE SOLD.
